Each year, countless girls endure the agonizing, life-altering effects of FGM, perpetuating a cycle of pain and suffering.
Join us, and together let's put an end to the suffering.
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) remains a pervasive global issue, affecting millions of girls and women worldwide.

200M+ girls and women alive today have undergone FGM.
FGM is carried out on young girls aged 15 and below.
30+ countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia practice FGM.
In Kenya, the Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation Act (2011) makes performing FGM a criminal offense, carrying severe penalties.
Despite the prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation across Kenya, the clandestine persistence of this harmful practice, particularly within the Maasai community, evokes a deep sense of concern.
FGM Zero’s Legal Letter Initiative
At FGM Zero, we are empowering young girls and women through our Legal Letter Initiative, funded by FGM Zero’s Anti-FGM Legal Fund.
The girls are issued with legal letters detailing the consequences of Female Genital Mutilation to take home to their legal parents/guardians.
Our goal is to empower the girls to initiate dialogue within families, providing parents with legal knowledge to make informed choices that prioritize the well-being and rights of their children.
